Liverpool FC transfer news: Rafael Camacho could leave Liverpool as contract talks stall
Sky Sports claims that Liverpool could lose out on highly-rated defender Rafael Camacho in the summer as contract talks have stalled.
The 18-year-old made his senior debut in the FA Cup defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the season. Camacho also got a few minutes in the 4-3 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Portuguese youngster joined the Reds from Manchester City in 2016, and Sky Sports adds that Camacho is attracting interest from several top clubs across Europe.
The right-back hasn’t featured in the senior Liverpool side since his appearance against the Eagles at Anfield thanks to the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold from injury.
Liverpool blessed with quality young defenders
Camacho isn’t the only young right-back that seems to have a bright future. Ki-Jana Hoever is another youngster that is making a name for himself in the youth setup and we also have Nat Phillips, who is doing a great job this season.
Joe Gomez and Alexander-Arnold are young defenders who have established themselves as first-teamers under Jurgen Klopp, when fit.
Camacho was brought into the team when we were short of defenders in January, and he looked alright against Wolves in the FA Cup loss.
It will be interesting to see what the manager plans to do with several young players next season.

Camacho is one while the likes of Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic have impressed on loan in this campaign.
