Latest Liverpool news: Moussa Sissoko claims Spurs watched Liverpool clips before defeating Manchester City
Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko claimed that Tottenham watched videos of Liverpool which helped them defeat Manchester City.
Spurs pulled off a great win over the Cityzens in the Champions League thanks to Son Heung-min’s 78th-minute goal.
The former Newcastle star was speaking to the Manchester Evening News (h/t Mirror) and claimed Mauricio Pochettino showed the team some videos of other teams:
“We did things well and followed our game plan, which was to defend well and not throw ourselves forwards too much.
“We have done what the manager wanted us to do and that is why we won the game.
“They were videos of different teams. Liverpool, Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday in their last game.”
Tottenham to hurt City in the league?
Spurs were better than City in the first leg and will hope to progress into the next round of the Champions League.
They have a one-goal advantage to work with, and it will be interesting to see if they can get an away goal next week.
More importantly, they are in a battle for the Champions League spots and face City in the league too.
City need to drop points if Liverpool are to pick up their first Premier League crown, and should Tottenham play to their best, Pep Guardiola’s men could be in for another shock result.
The Reds have to do their bit by picking up the wins and our next game is against Chelsea at the weekend.

The Blues play in the Europa League on Thursday, and hopefully, that plays in our favour as this is our toughest remaining game of the Premier League season.
