This would be the first football game played in the 90-year history of the 77,000 seater stadium.

Our next clash would be against La Liga side Sevilla at Boston’s Fenway Park on 21 July. The final game of this trip would see us play at Yankee Stadium against Sporting Lisbon on 24 July.

Liverpool’s managing director, Billy Hogan, highlighted how special this trip would be as we play in three amazing grounds (h/t LiverpoolFC.com):

“We’re heading to three incredible locations this year. Each of the stadiums has their own deep-rooted heritage similar to our own and we’ll face three great opposition teams in Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting CP.”

Liverpool had brilliant pre-season last time

The Reds played several games in the UK prior to the current season but made a trip to North America as part of the International Champions Cup.

Liverpool lost to Borussia Dortmund before picking up impressive pre-season wins over Manchester City and Manchester United.

The Reds had a wonderful pre-season last time and only lost one game from nine. Hopefully, we go into next season with some silverware under our belt.
