Latest Liverpool transfer news: Reds to enter bidding war for Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes has had an excellent season with Sporting Lisbon thus far. The 24-year-old midfielder has 24 goals and 12 assists in all competitions for the Portuguese giants and seems set for a big move.
O Jogo (h/t Metro) claims that Liverpool will bid for the Portuguese star in the summer.
The report also adds that there would be a bidding war for the 24-year-old with Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also involved.
Big transfer fee for Fernandes?
The report claims that Sporting are willing to sell their star but Fernandes has a release clause of £86million.
Chelsea and Liverpool might be interested in the 24-year-old but it is unclear if the pair will spend that much for the midfielder (h/t Metro).
The Reds could do with an attacking midfielder in the team as goals haven’t come regularly from the centre of the park.
Fernandes has played in several positions for Sporting this season and has even played in the wide positions.
Jurgen Klopp recently spoke about Liverpool’s transfer plans in the summer. The German shot down any hopes of the Reds signing Lorenzo Insigne, despite claiming that the Italian was a great player (h/t Independent).
