Latest Liverpool news: Roberto Firmino to be assessed before Champions League clash against Barcelona
Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino missed the 5-0 win over Huddersfield with a small muscle tear.
Jurgen Klopp spoke about the injury and did not believe the Brazilian would be out for the remainder of the campaign (h/t Mirror).
The Reds face Barcelona on Wednesday in the Champions League and the Mirror reports that Firmino should return to training by then.
The report adds that Klopp would make a decision on the squad that travels to Spain on Tuesday to see how Firmino reacts to the session.
Firmino returning to the squad would be a huge boost in our quest to land a trophy under Klopp. The Brazilian has 16 goals and 7 assists to his name this season.
Barcelona rested some players at the weekend and wrapped up the La Liga title with a 1-0 win over Levante.
