Liverpool FC transfer news: Thorgan Hazard confirms agreement with Borussia Dortmund

The Mirror reports that Liverpool target Thorgan Hazard will not be coming to the Premier League as he confirmed an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

The Belgian has been excellent for Borussia Monchengladbach this season with 12 goals and nine assists in all competitions.

The Bundesliga side lie fifth in the table at the moment, and speaking to VTM NIEUWS (h/t Mirror), the 26-year-old confirmed his intention to join Dortmund:

“I have a contract for one more season, but I have already said before that I want to take the next step in my career.”

The Belgian added that he wants to try something new and it was up to the clubs to finalise the switch.

“That will take a bit of time. It’s always like that with negotiations. There are talks between Gladbach and Dortmund, yes.

“I have a personal agreement with Dortmund. It’s out of my hands. It’s up to the clubs now.”

Thorgan was at Chelsea alongside brother Eden but failed to deliver and was sent to Monchengladbach on loan. The Belgian has thrived at Borussia Park and now seems set to take the next step up.
