Premier League rivals contact Liverpool-linked talent’s parents regarding possible move

Liverpool FC transfer news: Manchester City speak with Joao Felix’s parents

Joao Felix is one of the hottest properties in world football, and the Portuguese youngster has been linked with Liverpool, according to Record (h/t Sky Sports).

The 19-year-old Benfica star has scored 17 goals in all competitions and has eight assists to his name.

The report adds that Manchester United are also linked with the teen sensation while Manchester City have already held a meeting with Felix’s parents.

Liverpool had a bid rejected for Felix earlier

Correio de Manha (h/t Mirror) had reported earlier that a bid from the Reds was rejected by Benfica.

Mohamed Bouhafsi recently tweeted that Liverpool are one of four clubs interested in the 19-year-old and mentioned Juventus alongside the two other Manchester clubs.

The journalist added that the Benfica starlet has a €120m release clause and that the youngster will leave the club in the summer.

Felix could be a great signing for the future for any of the clubs involved, however, his release clause seems a little excessive despite his talent.

We could sign two quality players for the team for the same amount and increase our strength in depth.

The Reds have some quality youngsters coming through the ranks too. Further, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic have excelled away on loan.
