Latest Liverpool news: Andy Robertson provides update on injury and has the last laugh on Luis Suarez
Liverpool confirmed that Andy Robertson would undergo a scan on Wednesday regarding a calf injury he picked up in our 4-0 win over Barcelona.
The Scot had to be replaced at half-time and picked up the problem in a coming together with Luis Suarez.
The former Liverpool striker seemed to flick out at Robertson which caused the problem, and Robbo was hopeful of making a quick return from injury (h/t LiverpoolFC.com):
“It doesn’t feel the best at the minute but I’ll get a scan tomorrow.
“They’re confident that it’s just a nerve or whatever and it can be maybe a couple of days, but we’ll wait and see. We can’t really comment until I get the scan, but I’ll be saying my prayers tonight.”
The Scot was doing pretty well up to his injury and seemed to have riled up Lionel Messi earlier in the tie.
His substitute did not fare badly as Georginio Wijnaldum scored a brace in the 4-0 win.
Robbo has the perfect response for Suarez
The Scot and the Uruguayan also clashed in the first leg in Barcelona, but the left-back had the perfect response for the former Liverpool star.
Robbo was asked about the incident but could not care less as the Reds were off to the final (h/t Mirror):
“Who’s going to the final? We are. That’s all that matters. Gini went on [for me] and scored two. I don’t care right now.”
The Scot hailed the belief running through the team and lauded Alisson for making some important saves that kept us in the game.
The Reds have an outside chance of winning the Premier League crown but need Manchester City to slip on Sunday.

The Scot added that stranger things have happened in football, and it is difficult to argue with him after the crazy season we have witnessed so far.
