Liverpool FC transfer news: Rafa Camacho’s father meets with Real Madrid over possible move
A Bola (h/t Liverpool Echo) reports that Rafa Camacho’s father met with Real Madrid regarding a possible move.
The Portuguese starlet is represented by his father and the report claims that several European clubs are interested in the 18-year-old.
Camacho made his debut for the Reds in the FA Cup defeat to Wolves earlier in the season. The youngster also got a few minutes in our win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The report claims that Camacho has been nominated as the Premier League 2 Player of the Season.
Real Madrid plan to send the youngster out on loan, according to the report, and Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon are also keeping tabs on the 18-year-old.
The youngster is contracted with Liverpool till 2020, and the Reds have already rejected bids from Borussia Dortmund and Wolves (h/t Birmingham Mail).
Liverpool want to keep hold of Camacho
Camacho has been used as a right-back but is capable of playing in midfield or as a winger.
Liverpool are willing to offer Camacho a new contract and keep him at the club (h/t Birmingham Mail) and it will be interesting seeing what action takes place in the summer.
Camacho needs to start games regularly and that is unlikely to take place at Liverpool next season.
