Liverpool FC transfer news: Paris Saint-Germain contemplate move for James Milner
Le Parisien (h/t Metro) claims that Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for Liverpool’s veteran midfielder James Milner.
The report claims that the French champions want to strengthen the side after another elimination in the Champions League knockout stages this season.
The French giants are set to announce the signing of Ander Herrera on a free from Manchester United, according to the report, and are hopeful of finalising a deal for Napoli’s Allan.
PSG has spoken internally about signing Milner, according to the report, and the Englishman is out of a contract at the end of the next season.
The 33-year-old joined Liverpool on a free from Manchester City in 2015 and is set to feature in another Champions League final on 1 June.
Milner’s experience and versatility are important for Liverpool
The Englishman might be 33 but Jurgen Klopp has used Milner’s experience quite well at Liverpool.
The former City and Aston Villa star has done a great job this season when called upon and even played as a full-back in a few games.
The 33-year-old’s experience certainly is something that cannot be taken lightly, especially with so many young players in the current Liverpool team.
Milner is one of the few players with a league title under his belt, and that winning mentality is also needed at the club.
The midfielder will turn 34 next season and it will be interesting to see what Liverpool have planned for the future.

For now, we should not think about letting Milner leave as he can do a great job in several positions for the side.
