Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino is fit for the Champions League final.
The forward last played for us in the 3-0 win for Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final first leg.
Firmino travelled with the team to Marbella for the training camp and is in Madrid for the finals.
Klopp was facing the media for the final press conference ahead of the clash against Tottenham, and the German was coy on spilling his plans for the Brazilian.
James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo was present and quoted the German saying:
Pearce further added an update on Firmino suggesting that the 27-year-old looks sharp despite not having played a game since the start of May.
The Brazilian has scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions for the Reds. It will be interesting to see if Klopp starts with Firmino on Saturday as we look to win our six Champions League crown.
Tottenham won’t be easy opposition and they could also start with Harry Kane, who has returned from his own ankle problem.
Firmino’s movement and intelligence in the final third are keys to our attack, and hopefully, he has a great game for Liverpool on Saturday.
