Divock Origi rose from the ashes of his career at Liverpool and wrote his name in history after he scored in the 2-0 Champions League final win over Tottenham.
Jurgen Klopp took a risk by starting Roberto Firmino against Spurs, however, the Brazilian lacked match fitness and was in the periphery of the game in Madrid.
Firmino was replaced on the hour mark as Origi made his way into the game. The Reds took the lead, thanks to an early penalty, as Moussa Sissoko’s outstretched arm was hit by a Sadio Mane cross.

The 24-year-old didn’t start many games this season but scored crucial goals throughout the campaign. The winners against Everton and Newcastle in the Premier League, and his brace against Barcelona which helped us reach the final of the Champions League are still fresh in our minds.
Origi has always put in a lot of effort on the pitch whenever called upon, and many Liverpool fans celebrated as the Belgian wrapped up our sixth Champions League crown.
