The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg provided an update on Leicester City midfielder James Maddison. The English midfielder had a wonderful debut season with the Foxes after leaving Norwich City.
The 22-year-old played under two managers this season but that did not affect his output with Maddison racking up seven goals and seven assists in the Premier League.
Steinberg claimed that Liverpool are interested in the 22-year-old, however, the Englishman isn’t in a hurry to leave.
The journalist added that Maddison would cost nearly £60m and Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham are interested in the Englishman.
The Reds don’t have an attacking midfielder starting for them regularly, however, our front three score goals for fun while our full-backs create several chances via crosses.
Maddison is a quality player and has the potential to become one of the best in the Premier League, but it is difficult seeing him break into this Liverpool team at the moment.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita provide us with additional creativity from the midfield, and the pair should be at its best next season.
Keita is currently nursing an injury while Oxlade-Chamberlain recently returned from a major knee injury.
Jurgen Klopp has built a wonderful team that won the Champions League on Saturday, and this should lead to more trophies in the coming years.
