Liverpool FC transfer news: Liverpool interested in Dutch sensation Donny van de Beek

The Liverpool Echo (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Donny van de Beek is being seen as an option for Juventus should they fail to sign either Paul Pogba or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The report claims that Juventus are looking for another quality midfielder despite Aaron Ramsey joining the Italian champions on a free.

Van de Beek had an excellent season for Ajax scoring 16 goals in all competitions and providing 12 assists too.

The 22-year-old also played for the national side in their recent 3-1 win over England as they reached the final of the Nations League.

The report claims that Liverpool are interested in the 22-year-old midfield with Tottenham also keeping tabs on Van de Beek.

Ajax are willing to listen to offers for one of their star players, and the report claims that Inter Milan have also been linked with the 22-year-old.

Ajax’s stars shine this season

Van de Beek isn’t the only Ajax player that has done well this season with David Neres, Hakim Ziyech, Dusan Tadic and Matthijs de Ligt all starring.

The Dutch giants reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and were seconds away from facing us in the final.

Ajax could make a decent sum by selling some of their stars, and Van de Beek could be a fantastic signing for Liverpool, even though we have quality midfielders.

The 22-year-old can play in an attacking role or in a deeper position and will only improve further under the right manager.
