Scotland got off to a winning start under Steve Clarke as they saw off a spirited Cyprus side 2-1 in their latest Euro 2020 qualifier.
The start to the campaign wasn’t great as they lost 3-0 to Kazakhstan but returned to winning ways against San Marino.
This was an important victory for the Scots as they look to play in Euro 2020 and they got the lead, thanks to an Andy Robertson rocket.
The Liverpool left-back and Scotland captain isn’t known for his goal scoring abilities but gave the home team the lead in the 61st-minute via a thunderbolt from outside the box.
The away team might not be a football powerhouse but they drew level in the 87th minute via Ioannis Kousoulos.
Just when it seemed that Scotland were going to drop major points, Oliver Burke scored in the 89th minute to give Clarke a much-needed win.
The next game for the Scots is against table-toppers Belgium, and that will be a huge test. Robertson was extremely pleased about his contribution to the win and shared a few pics from the game.
Many fans were happy that the Scot got a goal for the national side, including one Liverpool player too.
