Liverpool FC transfer news: Leeds United hopeful of luring Ryan Kent due to Harry Wilson’s form
The Yorkshire Evening Post (h/t Daily Star) reports that Leeds United are interested in Ryan Kent and believe Harry Wilson’s form for Derby could see a deal take place.
Wilson was excellent for the Rams as he helped them reach the Championship play-off final, but they lost out to Aston Villa.
Kent had a great season at Rangers where he won Scotland’s Young Player of the Year award under Steven Gerrard.
The 22-year-old helped the Gers finish second in the Scottish Premiership, and Gerrard wants the Englishman back at Ibrox next season, according to the report.
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa is set to stay for another season despite the heartbreak of missing out on promotion to the Premier League.
The report claims that Leeds are looking to make free agent signings and loan deals, and that is why a move for Kent makes sense.
Kent not in Klopp’s plans
The English winger might have been great for Rangers last season, but the report claims that Jurgen Klopp does not see him as part of Liverpool’s plans.
The report adds that Liverpool could cash in on Kent now or in 12 months, and an impressive season could see his valuation increase.

It will be interesting to see where Kent ends up before the start of the season. Returning to Rangers keeps him in a comfort zone and he did excel under Gerrard. However, a move to a Championship club would be a test for the 22-year-old.
