Latest Liverpool transfer news: Reds won’t move for Max Kruse due to Rhian Brewster and Divock Origi
Liverpool will not move for Bundesliga star Max Kruse as they want to ensure Rhian Brewster’s progress and not block it off, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The report claims that the Reds are also impressed by Divock Origi’s form over the past season.
Kruse was linked with the Reds recentl, as a backup to our attacking trio, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The German striker is available for free after his contract with Werder Bremen ended, however, Jurgen Klopp is not interested in adding the 31-year-old to the Liverpool team (h/t Liverpool Echo).
Reds believe in youth talents
The report adds that Liverpool want to put their faith in a young Rhian Brewster and not the ageing Kruse.
Origi also did a great job in the second half of the previous campaign, and the report claims that Liverpool are hopeful that the Belgian would sign a new deal to extend his stay.
The Reds are still looking to sign a forward in the summer, according to the report, and will only move when they believe the player is right for the club and is available for the right price.
Liverpool have Roberto Firmino as the first-choice in the team and Origi did extremely well in replacing the Brazilian during the final games of the season.
