Liverpool FC transfer news: Ajax want £30m for Hakim Ziyech amidst Liverpool interest
De Telegraaf (h/t Mirror) claims that Eredivisie champions Ajax want just over £30m for star attacker Hakim Ziyech.
The Moroccan international was one of their best performers in an incredible campaign as they reached the Champions League semi-final.
The report adds that there could be a battle for the Moroccan as Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with the attacker earlier.
Serie A side AS Roma have already bid for the 26-year-old while there is interest in Ziyech from Germany and Spain (h/t Mirror).
Marc Overmars, Ajax’s director of football, added that Ziyech would leave in the summer, but the report claims that the Moroccan isn’t keen on any of the bids that the Dutch giants have received.
The 26-year-old scored 19 goals and provided 16 assists for Ajax last season. Ziyech can play in several positions but his best performances came when he was deployed as a winger.
Liverpool could do with a versatile attacker
Ajax’s asking price isn’t too high given the performances of Ziyech last season, and he would make an excellent signing for the Reds. The Moroccan can provide cover for several positions and can take up the role of an attacking midfielder under Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have a great team at the moment and a few quality additions could improve us further.

Ziyech would not be a starter for the Reds, but he could be a game-changer off the bench in some of the tighter clashes.
