The Birmingham Mail claims that Liverpool are one of the several Premier League clubs interested in Tom Bayliss. The Coventry City midfielder did a great job as he helped his club gain promotion to League One.
The 20-year-old is an England youth international and has racked up 73 appearances for Coventry over two seasons.
The report claims that the youngster was a subject of two bids from Derby County in January 2018, and a fee of £3million could be enough to sign the midfielder.
Merseyside rivals Everton have also been linked with Bayliss while West Ham United, Aston Villa and Leeds United are also keeping an eye on the talent (h/t Birmingham Mail).
The report adds that the youngster has been watched by Premier League sides in the previous campaign and is regarded as one of the brightest talents in League One.
Coventry’s chief executive Dave Boddy also claimed there have not been any bids for the player, but there is a lot of speculation on his future (h/t Birmingham Mail).
The Reds have seen several young talents move up through the system and impress on loan.
Liverpool saw the likes of Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic excel away on loan last season, and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for Bayliss.
The Reds should be on the lookout for youth players that can improve the team, and we have seen a few of them break into the main squad under Jurgen Klopp.
