Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds could move for Aubameyang if he is made available

Bleacher Report (h/t Daily Star) claims that Liverpool have a lot of money to spend in the summer and Jurgen Klopp would be willing to splash the cash if a good deal comes.

Reports (h/t Daily Star) had suggested that Klopp will only replace those stars who are leaving the Reds, however, Bleacher Report (h/t Daily Star) claims that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a possible target.

The report claims that Klopp wants to sign players he has worked with before, and the pair was great for a few years at Borussia Dortmund.

Aubameyang won the Golden Boot last season and shared the prize with Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The 30-year-old would not be a signing who would have many years left at the top level, however, the report claims that Liverpool could move for the Gabon international if he is made available.

Arsenal back in the Europa League

Liverpool will play in the Champions League next season while the Gunners are set to participate in the Europa League.

They lost the final to Chelsea while the Reds defeated Tottenham a few weeks ago. The report claims that Aubameyang could be tempted by Champions League football.

The Gabon striker was linked with a £70m move to Manchester United and the Reds could move for Aubameyang if Arsenal sell him (h/t Daily Star). The 30-year-old could be a great replacement for Daniel Sturridge and would add quality cover for Roberto Firmino too.

Aubameyang can play out wide but he performs the best as a central striker. Liverpool would have to spend big to get the 30-year-old, and it will be interesting to see if Arsenal can be enticed to sell their star.
