Liverpool FC transfer news: Inter Milan bid £80m for Nicolas Pepe

L’Equipe (h/t Express) claims that Inter Milan have bid £80m for Lille star Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivorian had a wonderful season for Lille as they finished second in Ligue 1, and scored 22 goals while providing 11 assists in the competition.

The 24-year-old has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, according to the Express, however, Inter are the first to submit an official bid for him.

The report adds that La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also interested in Pepe, and Jurgen Klopp has to make a call on what his next step is.

The Liverpool manager could submit a bid for the Frenchman or let him leave, according to the report.

Klopp wants the winger

Pepe plays mostly on the right-wing and the report claims that Klopp is a big fan of the 24-year-old.

The report adds that the German manager is keen to add Pepe to our Champions League winning squad and challenge Manchester City next season.

The Reds missed out on the Premier League crown to City by just one point and having another attacker could help us convert some of those pesky draws into wins.

Pepe is one of the brightest talents in Ligue 1, and it seems unlikely he will come on the cheap.
