Latest Liverpool news: John Henry names three players we should see more of next season

Liverpool owner John Henry named three players that the Reds should see more of in the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool were excellent throughout the season and lifted the Champions League by defeating Tottenham.

Jurgen Klopp’s men also came agonisingly close to the Premier League title but lost out by one point to Manchester City.

Adam Lallana

However, the Reds had some injury concerns throughout the season. Henry believed we should see more of Divock Origi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana.

The owner told the PA that we need to be healthy and rattled the names of the three players too (h/t Mirror):

“We need to get healthy. We need Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back, we need a healthy (Adam) Lallana.”

The owner added that he wasn’t the one deciding on the playing time, but backed Origi to get more minutes:

“It’s not up to me but I would guess we will see more of Divock (Origi) next year. I think he brings something special, he comes with power and speed and brings in scoring. I feel really good about next year.”

Lallana the surprise name in the list

Lallana barely featured for us in the previous campaign due to injuries, and it was a bit of a surprise seeing him being named by Henry.

The English midfielder will have a tough task of replacing players from our starting XI, especially after the great performances from Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Fabinho also seems like a starter for most of the big games, and it will be interesting to see how Lallana is accommodated into the team.

Origi should feature more, thanks to his crucial goals in the previous campaign, while the Ox also returned from a long-term injury last season.
