Latest Liverpool news: Alisson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain handed new squad numbers for new season
Liverpool have confirmed that two first-team players would sport new jersey numbers ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Alisson will take over the No.1 jersey for the 2019-20 campaign from Loris Karius, as the German remains at Besiktas on loan.
The Brazilian started the previous season with the No.13 jersey and helped us win the Champions League.
Alisson was the Man of the Match against Tottenham and ensured we left Madrid with our sixth Champions League crown.
The keeper also won the Golden Glove and conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League campaign.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also be getting a new number after recovering from a serious knee injury.
The English midfielder will wear the No.15 jersey next season and will give up the No.21 he had.
Daniel Sturridge left the Reds at the end of his contract, and his jersey number will be taken up by the Ox.
The Ox needs to fire next season
Oxlade-Chamberlain has a big season at Liverpool after missing out on most of the campaign last time around.
However, the important thing for him was a return to fitness, and he made a few substitute appearances for us in the Premier League.
