Latest Liverpool transfer news: Danny Ings signs permanently with Southampton
Southampton have completed the signing of Danny Ings from Liverpool after his initial one-year loan.
The BBC adds that the £20m deal is now complete, and the former Burnley striker has made his switch to St. Mary’s permanent.
The report adds that Ings has signed a three-year deal with the Saints. The 24-year-old scored seven times for the side last season as they avoided relegation.
Ings had played for Southampton’s academy earlier, but he was released at the age of 10 and then joined Bournemouth. The report adds that Burnley will receive £2.3m from the sale.
Liverpool fans want the club to spend
Losing Ings was a big blow last season but the English striker would not have started many games under Jurgen Klopp.
Roberto Firmino is the first-choice at Anfield and Ings should be able to reach his potential by playing regularly at St. Mary’s.

The Reds have also seen Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno leave for free, and it will be interesting to see if we sign replacements.
The transfer window has only just opened, and many fans wanted the Reds to splash the cash after the Ings deal.
