Latest Liverpool news: Roberto Firmino sets one up and scores another as Brazil defeat Argentina 2-0
Roberto Firmino had an average season last time around when it came to goals scored.
The Brazilian worked his socks off for Liverpool last season, however, he only mustered 12 Premier League goals from 34 games.
The 27-year-old also looked a tad out of form during the second half of the season, but Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were doing their bit by racking up the goals.
Firmino’s campaign was also hurt by an injury during the latter stages of the season, and he looked off the pace in the Champions League final win over Tottenham.
The Brazilian was chosen as a part of the Copa America side, and he seems to be back to his best.
Firmino knocks out Argentina
Brazil facing their arch-rivals Argentina is always a huge game, and their most recent clash was in the Copa America semi-finals.
Firmino was great during the game as he first set up Gabriel Jesus for the opener after 19 minutes.
The Liverpool star then scored the second with an instinctive finish and ensured he had a chance of lifting another trophy this season.
The 27-year-old is still an integral part of the team and hopefully, he is back to his best next season.

The Reds also had Alisson in fine form against Argentina, and the Brazilian has not conceded a goal in his last nine games for club and country.
