Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds do not want to sell Divock Origi in the summer
James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo claims that the Reds are not interested in selling Divock Origi this summer.
The 24-year-old striker is out of a contract at the end of next season, and Real Betis are interested in the Belgian ace (h/t Liverpool Echo).
Liverpool want to keep hold of the striker even if he does not sign a contract extension (h/t Liverpool Echo). The report adds that the Reds held positive talks with the Belgian after the Champions League final, and the 24-year-old is currently enjoying a holiday.
The Reds are hopeful of the Belgian signing a new deal, after his incredible rise last season (h/t Liverpool Echo).
Liverpool, however, run the risk of losing Origi for free should he not agree on terms with the Reds.
The report adds that the Belgian will have chances to prove his ability in pre-season as Roberto Firmino will be on an extended break after the Copa America.
Origi finds his form last season
The Belgian scored some important goals for us last season and was on target in the Champions League final too.
This was a remarkable turnaround for the 24-year-old, who struggled for form during his loan spell at Wolfsburg.

Origi was preferred over Daniel Sturridge under Jurgen Klopp last season, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in the upcoming campaign.
