A few others were also missing due to their international games after the Champions League final.

Jurgen Klopp was all smiles as he welcomed a couple of Englishmen.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should have a big role to play for us in the upcoming campaign, after recovering from a serious knee injury.

James Milner was excellent throughout the previous season and is one of the most experienced players in the Premier League.

New boy joins in training

Sepp van den Berg is the only signing we have made so far, and the Dutch defender was seen participating in training.

Joel Matip and Joe Gomez were also put through the paces, and it will be interesting to see who pairs Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the defence.

Gomez started last season in great form, but once he picked up a fracture, it was Matip who took over from the Englishman.

Fabinho was also pictured in training, and the Brazilian was one of the hits from last season, after arriving from Monaco..

Adam Lallana is another player who needs to have a good season while Rhian Brewster could be one of the surprises from the upcoming campaign.

The England striker is expected to play some games in the first-team, and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the promotion to the senior squad.
