Latest Liverpool news: Harry Wilson aims to impress Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool’s pre-season
Welsh youngster Harry Wilson wants to impress Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during pre-season.
The 22-year-old is one of a handful of Liverpool stars who are back for pre-season training, and the Welsh winger did extremely well with Derby recently.
The winger narrowly missed out on taking the Rams to the Premier League and scored 16 Championship goals last season.
Wilson is back at Melwood and wants to show he is ready for the first-team. The 22-year-old was speaking to the club’s website and was excited at returning to the club (h/t Wales Online):
“Now I am back here, it is up to me to try to impress the manager and get into the team.
“I was excited to get back and see the lads again. It was good to see the manager and the lads I haven’t been around for a while, to have a chat with them and see what they’ve been up to over the summer.”
The winger should get games to impress Klopp as our first pre-season clash is against Tranmere on 11th July.
Several first-team stars are away on breaks after a long season, and this is the perfect time for Wilson to prove he is ready to play for Liverpool.
Liverpool need a quality winger
The Reds could use a quality winger as cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and Wilson can be that player next season.

Liverpool played Divock Origi out wide in several games last season, and it will be interesting to see how Wilson does in the upcoming games.
