Latest Liverpool transfer news: Kamil Grabara signs new deal with Reds and joins Huddersfield on loan

Liverpool have confirmed young goalkeeper Kamil Grabara has signed a new deal with the Reds.

The 20-year-old penned a long-term contract to continue his stay with the club, and the release adds that he will join Championship side Huddersfield on a season-long loan deal.

The Polish youngster signed for the Reds from Ruch Chorzow in 2016 and has played for the U18s, U19s and U23s during his time at Liverpool.

Grabara played some of our games in the 2018-19 pre-season campaign and was then sent out on loan to AGF Aarhus in January 2019.

The Polish youngster also played for the national side during the summer’s U21 Euros and was on a break after his international commitments. A move to the Championship should be great for his development, but only if he starts games on a regular basis.

The 20-year-old could have a bright future if he continues improving under Jan Siewert. The Reds do have another quality keeper in Caoimhin Kelleher, but the youngster picked up an injury during pre-season.

Liverpool have seen several youngsters prosper while out on loan in recent years.

Many Liverpool fans backed the decision of sending Grabara out on loan and some claimed he had a great future ahead of him. Here are some of their reactions on Twitter:
