Liverpool FC transfer news: Derby County contact Liverpool over Wilson’s availability

Derbyshire Live (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that there is interest in Harry Wilson from a Championship club.

The Welshman was one of the stars for Derby last season as they missed out on Premier League qualification.

The attacker is currently with the Liverpool team for pre-season and has impressed in the two games against English sides.

The report claims that Derby have contacted the Reds and want to be in consideration if the Welsh attacker is sent out on loan.

The Rams are under new management after Frank Lampard joined Chelsea, and Wilson is highly-rated by the club (h/t Liverpool Echo).

Wilson was the top scorer for Derby last season and scored some spectacular goals for the Championship side.

The 22-year-old should feature for us in the pre-season and it will be interesting to see what we do with the talented youngster.

Liverpool could do with someone like Wilson next season

Wilson would be a great presence in the current Liverpool team, and we could do with some cover for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Liverpool have not signed an attacker this season and we have a tough season ahead of us as we look to win more trophies under Jurgen Klopp.

Wilson can play out wide or as a central attacking midfielder, and the Welshman seems ready for first-team football at Liverpool.

The 22-year-old won’t start regularly and that could be the only issue if he remains at Anfield this season.
