Liverpool FC transfer news: Gerrard is not giving up on signing Kent
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has said that he will wait until the last moment to sign Ryan Kent.
The Liverpool winger was one of the best performers in the Scottish Premiership last season, and the Herald Scotland reports the Gers are trying to sign him on another loan deal.

However, the former Liverpool captain wanted Kent but claimed the decision has to be taken by Liverpool as well (h/t Herald Scotland):
“Am I willing to wait until the last day of the window for Kent? I’m willing to wait until the last second.
“I’ll give it to the very last second to get Ryan back here.”
The English manager added that Kent was a great talent and should do well next season too:
“He’s an exception because he was outstanding last year. I feel he’s ready to go again, with the confidence he should have from last season.
“But we’re still talking about a player who belongs to Liverpool. They’ll make the decision on him and we’ll be totally respectful to the club and Jurgen Klopp.”
Kent doing his bit in pre-season
The English winger has been one of the bright sparks for Liverpool in the pre-season, and it will be interesting to see if we sell or loan him out for the season.
The winger would not get many first-team starts if he remains at Anfield, but could be a decent cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Liverpool also have Harry Wilson on their books and the Welshman has looked sharp so far in pre-season.

The Reds have already sent Marko Grujic out on loan to Hertha Berlin and there could be more outgoings before the start of the campaign.
