Harry Wilson had an excellent season for Derby County but failed to win promotion with the Rams.
The 22-year-old scored 16 goals and provided four assists for the Rams in the Championship last season.
The Welsh winger has featured for the Reds in the pre-season and has been one of our better players.
The loan spell at Derby certainly helped Wilson develop, however, new manager Phillip Cocu claims it will be difficult for the Rams to land players on loan.
The Championship side had a couple of Chelsea stars on loan too last season, but the Dutch manager was unsure if he could re-sign them (h/t Liverpool Echo):
“If you look at the value of those players to the team last season, it was very big.
“But it will be very difficult, I think. I won’t say impossible, but it will be hard.
Cocu added that he was working to bring players in but did not want to share the names of any targets.
The Welsh attacker would provide decent cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but he would not be starting too many games next season.
The 22-year-old can play in several attacking positions, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Welshman.
Liverpool have not signed any attacking players in the summer, with only young defender Sepp van den Berg joining the side.
