Playing in this tournament will cause Liverpool some problems, with the Premier League clash scheduled on 21st December set to be moved. The Reds were going to play West Ham at the London Stadium on 21st December, while they played Watford on 14th December.

Liverpool’s clash after this could be a Carabao Cup quarter-final clash which is scheduled for 17/18 December, but this could be rearranged.

FIFA confirmed the dates of the tournament, which sees eight matches being played from 11th December.

Liverpool are one of the latest entries in the tournament, thanks to them winning the Champions League last season.
