Liverpool FC transfer news: Klopp reluctant to sell Wilson but deal could take place for right amount

Sk Sports claims that Aston Villa and Newcastle United are battling for Harry Wilson’s signature.

The 22-year-old was excellent for Derby County last season and scored 16 times in the Championship.

The Welsh attacker could not lead them into the Premier League after losing the play-off final but was one of their most impressive players.

The report claims that both the Premier League clubs are open to signing him on loan or on a permanent basus, with talks taking place.

However, Liverpool do not want to loan the starlet out and see him as a possible first-team player after Wilson impressed in pre-season (h/t Sky Sports).

The report adds that Klopp is reluctant to sell the Welsh attacker but would allow him to leave if a great opportunity arises.

Liverpool name their price for Wilson

The 22-year-old is one of the brightest talents at Liverpool right now, and he could do a great job of providing cover to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The report claims that Liverpool value the attacker at £20m, however, another source claims that a deal worth £15m and rising to £20m with add-ons could be enough to land Wilson.

The Reds haven’t made big moves this summer, and it will be interesting to see if we allow Wilson to leave.
