Latest Liverpool transfer news: Reds interested in Real Madrid’s Salazar
Liverpool have approached Real Madrid over Israel Salazar, according to Bernabeu Digital (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 16-year-old plays for the Real Madrid youth side and is one of the brightest prospects coming through their system.
The report adds that Salazar has rejected 50 offers from other clubs and the youngster has represented the Spanish U16 team. The youngster could be a great player in the future, and he seems to fit the scheme of things at Anfield currently.
Klopp signing younger players
Jurgen Klopp has signed two players this summer, with both of them being teenagers.
Sepp van den Berg was the first arrival and the 17-year-old has made a couple of appearances for the Reds in pre-season.
The Dutch centre-back is one for the future and Liverpool also caught hold of Harvey Elliott from Fulham.
The English winger made his debut against Napoli and was one of our best players in the loss.
Salazar would face a lot of competition should he join the Reds, with Rhian Brewster set to feature for the first-team.
The youth setup also features Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel in the ranks. The pair played for the Liverpool senior side during this pre-season, and big things are expected from the duo in the future.
