Liverpool FC transfer news: Klopp could be open to splashing £90m on Dembele
Don Balon (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that Liverpool are tracking Ousmane Dembele.
The 22-year-old had a decent season with Barcelona and found his form despite suffering from some injury problems.
Dembele scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in the La Liga last season, and even bagged three strikes in the Champions League.
The French attacker is capable of playing anywhere across the front-line and has the potential to improve further.
The outlet further claims that Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in the 22-year-old Barcelona star.
Klopp willing to spend big
The report adds that Klopp would be open to spending £90m on the France international, and the attacker would be a great addition to the Liverpool team.
Klopp knows about Dembele during his time from the Bundesliga, and his signing would certainly be one of the biggest moves in the summer.
Liverpool haven’t been big spenders this season, having signed just Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg.
The Reds have one of the best
Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri can do a decent job but the other options are young players Harry Wilson and Rhian Brewster. Dembele would increase our attacking options should Klopp sign him but spending £90m is also a bit of a risk for the German.

The manager has a fantastic record in identifying the right talents, and it will be interesting to see if we sign any other player in the window.
