Latest Liverpool news: Mane and Firmino argue about new celebration
Sadio Mane was handed his first start of the season in the UEFA Super Cup final against Chelsea.
The Senegal star returned late after his exploits in the Africa Cup of Nations, but it seems like he is carrying last season’s form.
There was no rustiness in the 27-year-old as he scored a brace in the penalty shoot-out win over the Blues.
Mane was subbed off before the end of extra-time, however, he seemed to have taken a leaf out of Roberto Firmino’s books regarding his celebrations.

The Senegal star has copied celebrations in the past, such as Firmino’s kung-fu kicks, and he was at it again at Istanbul.
However, Firmino was not going to take this lightly and the pair was involved in some light banter. Mane claimed that this celebration is different from what Firmino does, and said that he was going to use it this season.
Firmino and Mane looked good in the Super Cup
The Liverpool attack did its job against the Blues, though our midfield and defence weren’t up to last season’s standards.
Nevertheless, Mane and Firmino linked up well for the second goal of the game, and they could do more damage to the opposition than last time.
Firmino didn’t have a great campaign last time around, but the Brazilian looks like he’s back to his best after lifting the Copa America in the summer.
