Latest Liverpool news: Adekanye given reprieve as Liverpool dispute transfer
Bobby Adekanye left Liverpool in the summer to join Lazio in the Serie A. The former Barcelona and Ajax youngster left on a free without making a senior appearance for the Reds.
However, Liverpool believe that the Italians broke the rules to sign the Dutch attacker and opened a case that could have seen the 20-year-old not play for Lazio in the season opener, according to Calciomercato.
FIFA have acted upon this complaint and announced that the youngster has been granted a reprieve and can play for Lazio against Sampdoria in the first game of the season (h/t Calciomercato).
The report adds that the youngster can feature for Lazio until the dispute is completed, and Adekanye could feature for the Eagles on Sunday.
Adekanye struggles to break into the senior side
The attacker has come through the ranks of several quality academies in his short career but he was never able to impress Jurgen Klopp enough to feature in the first-team.
The youngster didn’t feature much in our pre-season this summer and Klopp already has quality wingers in the first-team at the moment.
Impressive youngsters such as Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent can’t break into the side either, with both players spending time away on loan last season.

It would have been difficult for Adekanye to feature for the senior side this season and hopefully, he gets more games at Lazio.
