Liverpool starlet Bobby Duncan posted on Twitter after a controversial episode where his agent, Saif Rubie, levelled serious allegations against the club and Michael Edwards.
Rubie claimed that Duncan’s mental health was affected after the Reds rejected summer moves to Fiorentina, but the club moved swiftly to deny such allegations and claimed they would work with the player.
Duncan posted a simple message on Twitter but he removed the statement quickly. The Liverpool Echo reports that Duncan posted:
“I just want to play Football!”.
Duncan’s current Twitter page shows he is still part of the Liverpool setup and has pinned a tweet of him and Jurgen Klopp.
The Liverpool Echo adds that the 18-year-old had initially endorsed Rubie’s tweets against the club, had removed all images/links to the team and put up an all-black image.
Duncan was one of the stars for the youth team last season as he helped us win the FA Youth Cup.
The cousin of Steven Gerrard bagged 32 goals in all competitions for the Reds, and the report claims that Liverpool want to keep the English talent.
Liverpool also rejected offers from Nordsjaelland to take Duncan on loan (h/t Liverpool Echo), and it will be interesting to see how things develop with the striker.
Rubie has also deleted his Twitter account and the agent has handled players such as Saido Berahino in the past.
