Liverpool FC transfer news: Duncan set to join Fiorentina permanently
Bobby Duncan’s time at Anfield could come to an end soon, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that Fiorentina have made a €2million offer for the English striker.
The deal also features a 20% sell-on clause for the 18-year-old, and the report claims that the Serie A side had offered to take Duncan on a loan deal initially.
Duncan was a key member of the youth teams last season and scored 32 times for the Reds in all competitions.
The youngster even featured in our pre-season games this summer and looked set for another campaign with the reserve sides. However, things took a crazy turn after his agent, Saif Rubie, levelled serious allegations of mistreatment by the Reds.
Duncan seemed to endorse his agent’s views before Rubie’s Twitter account was deleted.
The agent made some allegations against Michael Edwards too, however, the report claims that the Reds are happy with how he has handled the situation and see the Fiorentina deal as a good one.
Duncan on the move again?
The youngster had only joined us about a season ago from Manchester City and could have played for the first-team in a couple of years had he kept improving himself.
It seems that Duncan’s time at the club is coming to an end and it makes sense to let him leave after the episode with Rubie.
