Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director doesn’t say much regarding Kai Havertz’s future
Kai Havertz is one of the brightest talents in the Bundesliga and enjoyed a fantastic season with Bayer Leverkusen last time around.
The 20-year-old German scored 17 goals and provided three assists in the Bundesliga last season and will feature in the Champions League this time around.
Havertz is a regular for the German national side and the Liverpool Echo reports that the 20-year-old has been linked with a move to the Reds in the past.
Leverkusen were able to keep hold of their star this summer and their sporting director, Simon Rolfes, didn’t say much to the Bild when asked about the interest in Havertz (h/t Liverpool Echo):
“I am not interested in that. It only elicits a weary smile from me.”
The German has started this season well too with one goal from three Bundesliga games and Leverkusen are one of four unbeaten teams in the league.
A talent that will fit into any team
Havertz has the ability to play for any top team in the world and it will be interesting to see if Leverkusen part with their star next summer.
The 20-year-old would be a great addition to Liverpool and could be used well by Jurgen Klopp.
Havertz can play out wide or as a central attacking midfielder and would add more creativity to our side.

However, the Reds have a great system in place and the German might have to be on the bench for a few games as Klopp mixes his midfield around.
