Liverpool become first top-flight team to win 14 consecutive games by scoring two goals or more
Liverpool needed a bit of a kick to get over a tough Newcastle side.
The Magpies took a shock lead in the first half and were defending well with their 5-4-1 formation.
However, Sadio Mane got things going for us with a brilliant curling effort and made it 2-1 after a mistake from the Newcastle goalkeeper.
Mohamed Salah then wrapped up the points with a well-taken goal after some magic from Roberto Firmino.
The win kept out 100% winning record on track while we also opened up a five-point lead over Manchester City.
This was Liverpool’s 14th straight Premier League win in a row by scoring a couple of goals, and we created a record with this latest victory.
Mane cannot be beaten at Anfield
Mane brought us back into the game against the Magpies and has been sensational since last season.
The Senegal star was one of the three to win the Golden Boot in the Premier League, and he seems to be on fire at the moment.
Mane has done well at Liverpool since joining from Southampton and is yet to taste defeat in 50 games at Anfield in the Premier League.
Liverpool could continue making and breaking several records if they keep playing like this.
