Jurgen Klopp clarifies agent’s comments about weather impacting his future

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has clarified his agent’s comments regarding the English weather impacting his future at the club.

The German’s agent, Marc Kosicke, spoke to Sporx and claimed that the English weather would play a role in his time at Anfield.

However, Klopp clarified that his agent was only trying to make a joke about the weather (h/t Liverpool Echo):

“I think he wanted to make a joke! But now I have to be serious because I could make a lot of jokes about the weather, especially when I am sweating like crazy (in Napoli’s media room).”

The manager added that was just “German humour” and no one understood it. However, Klopp did suggest that the weather isn’t always the best in Liverpool:

“The weather in Liverpool is not always nice, especially in winter, but in March and September, it is nicer than you would imagine.

“I came in October 2015 and and you could sing a song ‘Don’t move to Liverpool in October’ and until March, for five months, it was not too cool and it was harsh.”

Klopp doesn’t mind the weather in England

The German did reveal that he spoke about the wind in a few games but says that this isn’t enough to see him leave the country.

Klopp also added that he was fine with the current weather in the country and he enjoys it:

“I am completely fine with the weather in Liverpool. It’s pretty much the opposite of this room right now! So I enjoy it quite often actually.”

The manager finished by saying that his agent was having a joke and no one actually got it.
