Sadio Mane in talks over new deal at Liverpool
Days after French reports (h/t Liverpool Echo) suggested that Sadio Mane is in talks with Liverpool over a new deal, an Italian outlet has posted news about the Senegal star too.
Mane was one of our best players last campaign and has started this season well.
The Senegal star’s brace helped us win the UEFA Super Cup, and the 27-year-old has already scored some crucial goals this season.
Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that the Reds are talking with Mane over a new deal which will extend his stay until 2025.
The report adds that the Senegal star will also receive a huge pay rise and the 27-year-old had signed a new deal with the Reds last season only.
That contract runs out in 2023, but it makes sense for Liverpool to tie him down with a new deal after his start to the season.
Mane on fire for the Reds
The forward’s finishing seems to be much better than last season, and he seems to score with every quality chance he gets.
Mane is also one of the most hard-working players in the team and he is one of the vital cogs in Jurgen Klopp’s system.
