Jurgen Klopp claims Alisson is making big progress from injury
Liverpool have been a little fortunate with Alisson’s injury as Adrian has done a stellar job in goal.
The Spaniard was possibly our best player in the defeat at Napoli, and he pulled off some great saves against the Italians.
Adrian’s game isn’t without flaws and the Spaniard needs to work on is his distribution and passing.
Alisson is incredible with his vision and the ball at his feet, but the Brazilian hasn’t played for us since the first day of the season.
The calf injury that he picked up seems to be a little serious given how long he has been out for. However, Jurgen Klopp provided a positive update on the Brazilian’s return.
The manager was speaking to the press ahead of the clash against Chelsea and claimed the keeper had a ‘proper session’ yesterday (h/t LiverpoolFC.com):
“Ali is making big progress, but is still away. He had a proper session yesterday with John Achterberg, but is not in team training yet.”
Liverpool need to be careful with Alisson’s return
An early return would be great for the Reds, however, Adrian has done a good job in goal and there is no need for Alisson to be pushed back into the starting XI.

The Brazilian should be given the right amount of time to recover from the problem. Alisson needs to return when he is completely healthy and hopefully, he avoids injuries for the rest of the season.
