James Maddison is one of the most impressive English footballers in the Premier League.
The Leicester City star has been linked with Liverpool recently (h/t Express) and turned on the style in the 2-1 win over Tottenham.
The midfielder scored the winner against Spurs to push Leicester into third place before Sunday’s games, and he even put down The Sun after the match.
That outlet decided to have a go at Maddison’s style after claiming that the midfielder came up for the game carrying an expensive backpack.
However, Maddison was having none of it as he slammed the outlet for a non-story:
The English midfielder has a bright future ahead of him under former Liverpool manager Brandon Rodgers, and he seems to be getting better with each game under his belt.
The 22-year-old could start for the England national team during their next round of international games too.
Maddison hasn’t been fazed by the move from the Championship to the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see how he does for the rest of the campaign.
The Englishman might not be a Liverpool player at the moment, however, many of our supporters loved his response and wanted him to join us.
