Jurgen Klopp told Rhian Brewster that he will get chances this season
Rhian Brewster is one of the brightest talents Liverpool have in their side.
The 19-year-old has had his fair share of injury problems but seems set to feature for the first-team soon.
The English youngster was impressive during the pre-season and even found a place on the bench against Chelsea.
Liverpool have a great first XI and it will be interesting to see how Brewster does. The youngster was speaking at a FIFA 20 event and confirmed he was a part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans (h/t Mirror):
“Klopp spoke to me and told me, ‘You’re going to get your chance this year’ and I’m just waiting for that chance now so that I can prove him right.
“He’s not one of those managers you don’t want to speak to, he’s a great manager and he’s so down to earth.”
The former Chelsea starlet added that Klopp was giving him game time for the U23s and slowly bedding him into the first-team.
Chances galore this season
Liverpool didn’t sign a replacement for Daniel Sturridge and that shows the faith that the Reds have in Brewster.
The Reds have several games this season with the Carabao Cup, Club World Cup and FA Cup in their schedule, and it will be interesting to see how many games Brewster gets.
Liverpool will have to rest Firmino at some point and this is where Brewster can get his chances.
