Martin Odegaard still dreams of playing for Real Madrid
Martin Odegaard was one football’s brightest talents when he joined Real Madrid in 2015.
The then 16-year-old was expected to become one of the best, however, he struggled at the Spanish giants.
The youngster currently plying his trade at Real Sociedad after stints at Heerenveen and Vitesse.
Odegaard has impressed for the La Liga side and has been linked with Liverpool (h/t Mirror).
Manchester United are also interested in the 20-year-old attacking midfielder (h/t Mirror), however, Odegaard wants to continue his development at his current club.
The Madrid star is at loan at Sociedad and told ESPN that he dreams of playing for the La Liga giants (h/t Mirror):
“My intention is to stay (at Socided) two years and I think that’s important for me.
“I have had two seasons in a row where I have changed teams. To have some stability is good (and) this is a great club and hopefully we can get European football for next season.
“Of course I want to play there (Madrid) but I’m still young so I’m happy here at the moment.”
A big move made too soon
Liverpool could do with an attacking midfielder but Odegaard needs to consistently perform at the top level.
He has looked good this season, racking up two goals and two assists from seven games.
The move to Real was possibly too early in his career and he needed to work on his skills before joining.
