Ajax remove Hakim Ziyech’s release clause in new contract
Hakim Ziyech was excellent for Ajax last season as they won the Dutch league title. The Dutch giants also reached the semi-final of the Champions League and was linked with several clubs in the summer (h/t Mirror).
However, he remained at Ajax and AS (h/t Mirror) claims that the Dutch club
Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in the Morocco international (h/t Mirror) but this move from Ajax could be beneficial for the club.
Ajax can charge a huge amount for Ziyech
The 26-year-old can play in several positions and would be an excellent addition to the Liverpool side. However, the removal of the release clause could see Ajax hold out for a larger sum in the future.
The report claims that Ziyech is valued at more than €50m, and it will be interesting to see if a top club moves for him in the coming transfer window.
The Moroccan would provide cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, while he can play as an attacking midfielder too.
Liverpool didn’t make any major outfield signings in the summer, but we can always do with more quality coming into the team.
