Loris Karius keeps Liverpool option open after Besiktas loan
Loris Karius isn’t giving up on his Liverpool career despite being at Besiktas for more than a year.
The German was sent to the Turkish giants on a two-year loan deal after the Champions League final in 2018.
Karius made a couple of errors in the loss but suffered a concussion, thanks to Sergio Ramos. The Reds then signed Alisson for a world-record fee, and the German moved in search of regular football.
It hasn’t been plain sailing for the German at the Turkish club, however, he was quoted by the Daily Mail speaking about his possible return (h/t Mirror):
“Will I play for Liverpool again? Of course it’s an option and a good option to still be there.
“Maybe I’ll play for them again, you never know. It’s still far ahead. If it’s not Liverpool, it will be another decent team, so I’m not worried about any scenario.”
The keeper added that he doesn’t think of the mistakes in Kiev anymore and was happy that the Reds won the Champions League last season.
Liverpool have a quality second choice keeper
The German was one of the best in the Bundesliga before his move to Liverpool and unfortunately, things didn’t work for him.
The 26-year-old has had some tough moments in Turkey, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
The Reds have a quality second-choice keeper in Adrian, and the Spaniard has been excellent since Alisson’s injury.

Karius could be an option for next season but with Adrian doing so well in goal, it would be a major surprise if the German plays for us.
